In 1950, 10 year old Richard Felix Dalby started mowing lawns in his hometown of Battle Creek, IA (population 800).
He moved to Colorado Springs in 1971, to teach school for District 11, but kept mowing every summer. For over 50 years, he taught school in the winter and mowed in the summer.
His son Richard Andrew Dalby got into the family business in 1987.
And his grandson Richard Steele Dalby continues the legacy today, proudly serving the Colorado Springs community.
